GOD'S HOLY PLACE - FULL OF LOVE & TRUTH
Good morning
brother & Sister. Shalom! We are so grateful that this morning we can
gather together in this place. Entering the year 2025, in the first quarter our
big theme is “Righteousness”. So, let us meditate God's word regarding the
Tabernacle.
In God's
revelation about the Tabernacle, we know that the culmination/final was the
presence of God in The Tabernacle. When the Tabernacle was built, "The
cloud of the glory of the LORD covered the tabernacle." Let's read in
Exodus 40: 34-38 (King James Version)
34 Then a
cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled
the tabernacle.
35 And
Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the
cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
36 And when
the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went
onward in all their journeys:
37 But if
the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was
taken up.
38 For the
cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night,
in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
This revelation
was quoted by the Apostle John to explain how God is present among the man
through the person of Jesus Christ. Let's read in John. 1:1, 14-18 (King James
Version)
1 In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
14 And the
Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as
of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
15 John
bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that
cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
16
And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
17
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
18 No man hath seen God at
any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath
declared him.
The thing that we want to
emphasize in this passage is that when God dwell in midst of His people, the
people can see the "His Grace & Truth". These two things are one
package that cannot be separated. Whether in the Tabernacle or in Jesus'
ministry, we see how Grace & Truth are revealed there. And God wants us as
believers to also have Grace & Truth in ourlives.
Likewise, we
are the spiritual temple of GOD, where the Holly Spirit is present in our
lives, then we are appropriate to have "Grace & Truth" in our
lives. The Apostle John wrote: "Let us love not with words but also with
deeds in love & truth." This means that we have to balance both of
them. In our practical life, then have we implemented this package, or are we
biased to only one of them? We prioritize love but without truth, or vice
versa, prioritize truth but without love. Let our ministry at STTIA also
declare this. There are times when we declare mercy, grace, but there are times
when we declare justice, truth.
This is the word of God, let us as the Temple of God, express God's grace and truth in a balanced manner. In all aspect of our lives, so God’s glory will be revealed through our lives. Amen.
